SWEDISH M37 FIELD PHONE. Genuine Swedish military surplus field phone. Vintage field phone powered by 2 D cell batteries (not included). Plastic handset has push-to-talk button. Comes with additional earpiece, built in ringer, hand-crank ring generator, all self contained in a Bakelite case with adjustable leather shoulder strap. Phone is genuine surplus and have not been tested and we do not imply that they are in working order so they are being offered as a display item or collectable only, however they do seem to be fully functional. Example of how they used to work: When you wished to call the other line, you cranked the small generator which caused the other phone to ring. Then you could talk to the other line as if he was standing in the next room at distances of up to a mile or more with phones connected by twin wires. Case measures 10 x 7� x 3. Used Excellent.
